IEEE IMAS 2026 Travel Grants
IEEE IMAS 2026 Student & Early Career Travel Grant
The IEEE IMAS 2026 Travel Grant provides partial financial support for students and early career researchers attending the conference from outside Saudi Arabia. The grant is co-sponsored by the IEEE Antennas & Propagation Society (AP-S) and the IEEE Microwave Theory & Technology Society (MTT-S).
Grant Coverage
Selected participants will receive a minimum financial support of USD 750 in addition to conference registration coverage. The support is intended to help cover:
- Airfare and transportation
- Hotel accommodation
- Local transportation
- Conference attendance expenses
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be IEEE members in AP-S or MTT-S.
- Research work must align with IEEE IMAS 2026 technical scope.
- Applicants must physically attend the conference.
- Applicants should have:
- An accepted conference paper as first/presenting author, OR
- Be selected as a finalist in an IMAS 2026 competition.
- A recommendation letter is required from an advisor, chair, or senior colleague.
- Eligible categories include:
- Senior undergraduate students
- Recent B.Sc. graduates
- Master’s students
- PhD students
- Young faculty members within 3 years of PhD completion
Volunteer Activities
Awardees may volunteer during the conference for at least one full day or two half-days. Tasks may include:
- Conference registration support
- Session management assistance
- Audio/video support
- IEEE booth assistance
- Participant engagement activities
- Networking and student event support
Post-Conference Report
Awardees may be requested to submit a short report (maximum 3 pages) covering:
- Tasks performed during the conference
- Conference experience
- Research and professional benefits gained
- Impact of participation on career development
